PREPARATION & STEADINESS

Before I Give a Presentation

Silver-haired woman with glasses standing beside a prepared laptop, both feet on the floor.

Before I begin,I feel anxious about doing well.Breathing in, I feelmy feet on the floor.

Breathing out, I releasethe need to make this perfect.I trust what I have prepared, and let myself begin.

John Miller

Reflection

The slides are ready, but my mind is still rehearsing what could go wrong. I care about doing well, and that can quietly become a demand to get everything right. Feeling my feet on the floor brings me back to the room. I let go of the need to make this perfect and trust the work I’ve done to prepare.

How can you trust yourself and the work you’ve done to prepare?
